Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka is an American British musician and sitarist. She won the British House of Commons' Shield, which is the youngest and also the first female recipient. Alongside nine Grammy nominations She was also the very first Indian-origin musician to be a presenter and performer at the award ceremony. Anoushka Sitar Shankar, an Indian young sitar singer. She is the child of Ravi Shankar and a former student. Born in London and grew up in New Delhi, she spent the first few years of her life traveling between London as well as New Delhi. When she arrived in New Delhi, she made her debut at just thirteen years of age. Then she relocated into Encinitas CA where she graduated from High School with honours in 1999. Even though she's very young, Anouskha is an accomplished performer and recording career. She has been performing with her father on stage for many years. The singer released Anourag her debut album on her own in 1998. In 2002, she debuted her Grammy award-winning album Live at Carnegie Hall. Stage performance is a significant part of her work. She has performed in a variety of famous venues around the globe. Anoushka Shakar's career isn't only limited to music. Bapi The of My Life of My Live is her 2002 memoir, that is a tribute to Ravi Shankar. In addition, she has appeared in films in 2003 she acted in the film Dance Like a Man where she portrays a young Bharat Natyam performer. Anoushka shankar is a rising superstar and her fame will continue to grow. Anoushka lived a long traveling between London and Delhi during her young years. After that, she moved to California to attend high school. In Delhi at his 75thbirthday celebration Anoushka first made an appearance as a sitar player in front of an audience at the age of four, following her nine year old father. Anoushka has gained lots of experience touring the world together with her dad. She appeared in Carnegie Hall in her teenage period, as well as recorded for George Harrison's WOMAD Festival. She was the youngest woman to win the House of Commons Shield, awarded by British Parliament in recognition of her musicianship and artistry in music and the Asian Arts.
